Data that stays on your PC
MailTupal reads your emails read-only, directly on your computer. Applications, company archive, CV, letters and settings stay on your PC; passwords are protected with Windows encryption. This data is not sent to us.
Company data lookups
To complete addresses and websites, MailTupal queries public sources such as the commercial register (Zefix) and federal open data, the company's website and, if you enable it, a search engine. Only the company's name and town are sent, never data about you.
Activation server
To check your licence, our server (hosted by Cloudflare) processes: the email used for the purchase, the key in unreadable form (hash), a technical fingerprint of the PC, the software version, activation and check dates, and the IP address, also in unreadable form. We keep this for the duration of the licence and afterwards only as needed for legal obligations or disputes.
Cover letters
When you request a letter, the text of your CV and of the job ad goes through our server to Anthropic's Claude service, which writes the letter. Our server keeps neither the CV nor the letter; we only record the number of letters used and the language. Anthropic processes the data under its commercial API terms.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which processes payment data under its own privacy policy. We receive the purchase email, the product bought and the order status, not card details.
Website
This website uses no cookies and no tracking tools, and fonts are hosted on the site itself. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes the technical data needed to serve the pages, such as the IP address.
International transfers
Cloudflare, Anthropic and Lemon Squeezy may also process data in the United States or other countries, based on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the GDPR, you can request access to your data, correction or deletion, and object to processing by writing to mailtulpal.ch@gmail.com). You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
